Your friend, Joel

<joel>  so. it's friday night, and the first week is over. oh boy. school is school, don't ya know. that's what I keep telling people when they ask me what I think of school. "well, school is school! hahaha" but since YOU decided to stop and read my blog, you're gonna get a treat, here's a little something I call "Inside S-de-C!", and it's what I honestly think of school right now.

In Sam-de-Cham, there are many cliques and groups that may make you or break you. At this school, the social system is unique because in the High School part of the school, there are only 98-103 people. Therefore, that leaves every grade with approximately 25 people. That's a whole grade. Start to get the picture? Thought so. So, I try my best to fit in. And for the most part, I do ok. I have some steady friends, my own little group, and I am able to carry conversations every here and there with the other groups. But as of late, I kind of feel like I'm being pushed out, or that I'm just not good enough. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel 'loved' if ya know what I mean. I dunno. Hopefully things will get back-on-track, but for now, I'm just trying to be as funny and sociable as possible - the last thing I need in my life is to be not accepted at school.

So that's the down-lo right there... uh yeah and so this weekend I have to work work work which is gay because I never realised that during the school week hanging out with my other-than-school friends is impossible... So now the only free time I have all weekend is freakin Sunday night... which is a school night. Party-the-fuck on. and tonight I have no plans, surprise surprise. oh, did I mention it's the 1-year anniversary of my break-up? oh, who's sad? yea, that'd be me. annnyway, yeah my classes are pretty cool I guess, except for math... which inevitably sucks. anyway... i'm outta here.

Not worth it,
Single forever and being pushed out.

P.S. dont try to make it ok unless you're a physical presence in my life.

<joel>  oh my God. it's the last day of my summer vacation. oh my God. before I go on about what I did over the weekend and how I'm feeling, let's look over some memorable points of my summer, shall we?

-June...Peter Pan, An amazing experience because I got to perform at the Imperial in front of a huge crowd with a really great cast and I got to hang out with the pirates lots of times, it was really great.

-July...Summer Arts, Meeting new people (except for Anthony...) haha j/k that were pretty talented and fun, learning new words like "Mmmaaa" or "Weebee Weebee Weebee" and getting to sing in front of people.

-August...Camping in good ol' St-Louis, though it wasn't THE best camping trip ever, it was actually very cool.

-Generally: I can't forget hangin out w/ all my buddies, going to parties, going to the beach, and all of that good stuff! It's been an awesome summer, and for that I should be grateful.

So yeah, that was basically my summer in a nutshell - not to mention the start of my 'cultured' program and the Marathon By The Sea - they both get honourable mentions. So, how am I feeling right now? Sad, nostalgic, expectant, excited. Why?

Sad---> Summer, an awesome huge sunny vacation, is over. Now it's time to hit the rusty dusty books. Hoo boy.

Nostalgic---> I can't help it - so many good times! I just keep on thinking back to what I did over the summer, all the good stuff.

Expectant---> Expectant to get back into my regular routine, to become a grade 11er, to get back into "busy like you can't believe it" mode.

Excited---> I get to see all my mates that I haven't seen for so long tommorrow! Rock on!

And so yeah... Tommorrow I'm walking into those school doors with a new attitude towards my social self, and a willingness to work my ass off to get good results in what is considered the most important "university qualification grade" by my parents. Wish me luck, ya'll! And good luck yourselves... you deserve it. Oh, and by the way... Here's my late Friday Five.

1. Are you going to school this year?
Yes sir, Sam-de-Cham!

2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
High School, grade 11.

3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
English, music, art, chemistry, science.

4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
Math and french.

5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
Actually, two. #1: Mme. Pinet, because while we were in her class in grade 7, we raised the most... Macaroni and Cheese for all the poor peeps so we got a huge subway sandwich for that, and we also went to Ottawa with her. She's really nice and really fun, and so she's one of my favourites. #2: Gaétane! Haha just because she's so cool for her age without trying to be, she leads the troupe de théâtre at my school and she brings us to Caraquet and brings us Cappuccino every morning while we're there, she's just fun... Yeap, chalk another one up for my fave list.

Starting the school year,
Called 2003-2004.
