<joel> well, before I puke from certain people acting a certain way... yeah, em, I'll just give you the run-down of my Friday Five in a sec, but just so you know, there's going to be a SAINT JOHN IDOL!!! ALLRIGHT!!!
1. What do you most want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered for being a determined, happy, respectful and good friend - and that I had an opinion about everything - good or bad.
2. What quotation best fits your outlook on life?
"Life is like a box of chocolates... You never know what you're going to get."
3. What single achievement are you most proud of in the past year?
I'd have to say... well, my June belt test last year, taking up running, being in Summer Arts Été, ehhh... (innapropriate), and things like that.
4. What about the past ten years?
Oh my God - well... hmm.... learning to speak french, making friends, sticking with fitness and theatre, just being myself - nothing in particular.
5. If you were asked to give a child a single piece of advice to guide them through life, what would you say?
Individuality is key to living a good life - just don't stick out like a sore thumb - lol.
k, well, that's it for today! until later...
FridayFive.org,
Go Vishnu!

<joel> allright - it's Wednesday, ya'll. you know what that means! hot female model wet t-shirt contest time!! oh wait... oops! guess not. anyway, enough with my amount of unexplained happiness that would even make a horse giddy, and let's back-track from Monday, naught? Monday night I went to the Y for Leader Corps, where we all got an extremely interesting presentation on the media and relationships. I learned that we, as North Americans, are bombarded with about 3000 media images every single day. shocking as it is, it's very true. we saw some really wrong advertisements, such as the charming 'Korn' CD Cover, (which subliminally protrayed a small girl being hung,) a Nintendo ad (with a half-naked woman chained to a bed) or even a little man with a gun to a little woman's head (let's hear it for "Bitch Skateboards!"). and we learned about healthy relationships, the importance (or abolishment) of "white lies," and many other interesting topics. of course, I've already learned a lot of the stuff from my Entre-Aide committee, but s'all good. then yesterday, all of the elementary and middle schools had no school at all (except for at my school... poor kids.) school wasn't interesting yesterday, but last night I went for 45-minute challenger (I have to come back faster then when I went in... and I turn around wherever I'm at when my watch shows me it's "22:30.") I got back by 1:30 faster! allright! oh, and last night I also picked up an application for BK (you know you're desperate when...), did a little CBC interview with my neighbour on student employment, and studied for Physics... and yeah, nothing exciting today but the test and Ju-Jutsu - 'til later!
Adios,
Pas certain des amigos...

<joel> ...Mondays... ugh... so, back-tracking from Thursday. em, Thursday I don't really know/remember what I did, apart from the fact that I had a job interview @ Wendy's that evening. my mom made me dress like a massive dork, therefore I was embarassed to walk in there like that. the interview itself went pretty well, apart from two things. firstly, I had to tell him my math grade from last semester (59%... I should have lied) and then I had to tell him why I would want to work at Wendy's rather than McDo or B.K. Well, my mind went on "panic alert" b/c I had no idea what to say. but in the end, I arrived with a good solution. then that night I went for a 5-mile run. fun. ah, so Friday, I found out about this "big revolutionary dance" we're having at my school on the 6th - should be fun, I suppose. also that day were the debates in English, which were really fun. today we have debates as well, and I'm debating with a little team on the Lacey Patterson case - whether or not her husband should have been charged for two murders (she was 9 months pregnant) or not... even though it has already been decided. he's been charged with two. then that night I had Ju-Jutsu while many others were getting smashed or fucked at the SJHS dance... see if I care... then Saturday morning I went for another 5-mile run, and then I stayed home all afternoon and evening (I know, I'm just way too exciting) chatting online and singing obsessively while getting to do push-ups here and there. (wtf? lol oh well.) I've met a girl named Lyndsay from Winnipeg, a girl named Jessica who goes to Simonds high, and of course all of my old faves - my other normal day-to-day friends, too. then that night I saw Antwone Fisher with my family.... (for my mom it was a huge tear-jerker, "He's going to see his mother for the very first time! -sniff-".) I reccomend that you all see it, it's absolutely amazingly good. euh then yesterday morning I did all the usual preparative stuff (shower, for instance) and was off to my wholesome (or not-so-wholesome) church, followed by a pleasant spot of lunch @ my grandmother's house. (my Mom's mom, because unfortunately, as you all know, my other grandmother (Dad's Mom) passed away in September from cancer.) so anyway, then I came home, sent out my amazing singing voice to everyone on my list, just to make sure everyone heard it, (lol) and then I was off to two full hours of crazy Interaction... full of crazy Lost Boys, Peter Pan, Wendy, John, but not Michael (Courtney) who unfortunately has the chicken pox. poor little girl-playing-a-boy-in-the-play. oh, and I got a major guilt trip from the Costume Designer for not having a costume nor a garment bag right now... haha... crap. then that's about it from last night. then this morning, on the way to school with Ben (he has to be there every day in the morning this week to get ready for his big preschool graduation on Saturday) he suddenly started crying because he forgot to drink his little juice box before getting to school. so, he freaked out and started flopping around like a beached whale while my mom covered her face, just in case any of her exclusive 'girlfriends' should see her. then as I was walking in, there seemed to be a girl sitting in her car (my age) looking at me quite innapropriately... but hey, my working out and running pays off, eh? lol, gotta love it. so that's it, it's a Monday, and there's not too much going on today... yep, 'til tommorrow or the next!
Shout Out To Ya'll,
Through thick and thin. (No dirty thoughts!)
