Tuesday, May 6

<joel>  holà - it's Tuesday morning here at an expectant Samuel-de-Champlain school. Before I say anything else, for all of you who wanted more information on my upcoming Peter Pan play, you can click here. Hope to see you there, or you won't be able to see at all after I've poked your eyes out from not going to see the play. ha! actually, it has a Saint John All-Star Theatrical cast, with Kate Elman directing, Jeff Scott as Captain Hook, myself (of course), Jen McVicar (finalist for role in "Bringing Home the Bacon") and many others. of course, all of ya'll who ain't artsy-fartsy like me wouldn't really understand... it's a theatre thing. anyway, like I was saying, going back from Sunday. on that perticular day, 2 days ago, my parents and Ben were in Freddy Town, while Tom and I came in and out of the house with our busy, busy lives. at 12:30 or so, I was talking with Alicia on ye olde MSN, and we decided to go to Shopper's or Lawton's to pick up a nice mother's day gift for our moms. In the process, I got a lot of exersize, had some great convos and picked up some nice shampoo and gel that I needed. oh, yeah - and I got my mom a gift. but you have to keep it a secret, ok? this is between you & me. I got her some Rialto Naturals Caribeean Classics Piña Colada Body Wash. -takes deep breath- long name, eh? yeah. so then after bidding fairwell to Alicia, I walked to Mariel's house to get my drive to Interaction. when we got there, (and after I was forced to listen to... -shudder- Shania Twain songs about her "getting freaky with it" with her husband,) there was the first group of "Lost Kids" there. all I can say is that it was so much fun. now yesterday, I was finally back in the swing of things with school and all, but that's not to say that it wasn't difficult. I had to deal with J-M who wasn't feeling to nice last Techno class, but at least Mme. Kate said that she'd give me an "excellent reference" for my resume and my application to the ever-miraculous Bulk Barn. so, after having made it through the day, I did my normal sit-up, push-up, muscle toning hour while watching Dr. Phil, and then meticulously prepared my cover letter, application and resume under my mom's watchful eye. though the manager was not there, again, I handed it in with a smile and was on my way. last night I also discovered that Mariel's grandfather isn't doing that well in the hospital - please find the strength within you to pray for him and Mariel's family. annnd this morning we have this huge questionnaire about District 1 schools - joy -I also have Leader Corps tonight... how fun. I'll talk to ya'll l8er.

Slam dunk the funk,
For the summer.

Sunday, May 4

<joel>  hey ya'll - s'up? n2m here on a really really nice Sunday morning, praise the Lord! (note: my update is going to be really positive, so put on your 'emtional moderation' caps.) so back-tracking from Wednesday? yes, Wednesday. well, that day I have no freaking clue what I did, apart from the fact that it was the last school day of last week. that night I had a huge Ju-Jutsu practice, and Sarah's excuse for not going was 'extensive and necessary romance novel reading'. frig. lol - then Thursday morning I was up @ 6:30 to get ready to mind Nigel & the twins for the day. they're really good kids, and I got to make food for them! I love making food for people! (alas, another good reason for me to be a dietitian.) and let's just say I got good pay for that day - Thursday night I went for a 45-minute run which ended up taking me only 41:32! for me, that's pretty damn good - though my lungs exploded and I died. oh well! it's all for the cardio. then Friday morning was back to babysitting all morning until twelve, then back home. Friday night I was planning to go see a movie with Mariel, but then she had to cancel - oh, well. so I went to Ju-Jutsu instead again. then Saturday morning (or yesterday morning - ah ha ha! gotcha there) I went for a run with a ton of wind - that got me bad, but it's good training for MBTS, I suppose. then that night I was really looking forward to going shopping with Alicia, but she cancelled - because she had to be a timekeeper for a swim meet of sorts. ...what can ya do... then I found out that JF can't do the Murder Mystery on the 24th because his parent's anniversary party... I think I'm going to have to postpone it until summer or even the fall. ah well - I'll find something. my parents and Ben are currently in Freddy Town for the day, for the Fredericton Marathon - my dad's only doing the half, otherwise he'd drop and die, so good luck to him! oh, and good luck to Selma's brother Ali, too! so ya, today I have Interaction, but before that I'm walking down to Lancaster to pick up something nice for my mom - and for myself, too - since I didn't go shopping last night. :-D. so ya, that's my life in a nutshell - until later!

Breezy spring day,
What will I do today?
