<joel> well! a lovely early Friday evening here at the currently calm Vautour household, as I sit here sipping some tasty juice from my tippy cup - lol, jk, jk. em, let's see - theatre, theatre and hey! more theatre. but as ya'll know, I don't mind. so, warping back 'til Thursday, I didn't do all that much... I can never remember what I did on a specific day - I know that we started a summative Novella in French, and in English we (Jay Eff, Marm-o and m'self) are reading 'To Kill A Mockingbird,' which kicks big-time arse!!! I absolutely love it, it's heart-felt, interesting, entertaining, everything that a good book should be. it's very quickly becoming my favorite book of all time - and trust me - I've read books. as a matter o' fact, I've compiled a little list of my favorite novels up-to-date in my life. (To Kill A Mockingbird is not yet included.)
5. Maniac Magee - Jerry Spinelli
4. Holes - Louis Sachar
3. The Harry Potter Series - J.K. Rowling
2. Number the Stars - Lois Lowry
1. Hope Was Here - Joan Bauer
They're all really, really good books that I reccomend strongly for ya'll to read. and so anyways, last night (Thursday night) was a huge theatre practice - (all I can say is: go! It's on April 12, tickets are 5$ for students, 7$ for adults, same prices @ the door, at Samuel-de-Champlain school at 7PM. there's a double show, but my show's first so you can leave after that if you like.) hm, what else? well, that night I called a bunch-o peeps, like couselling with Mariel, and speculation with Christie, ain't that fun? then today wasn't that extravagant of a day - I wrapped up my Authorware session in Techno, my presentation was mildly screwed up due to the difficulty that I had linking everything together, it was more complicated then I thought, yet it was still worthwhile. em, then not long ago was theater practice again, where poor Sarah finally got her time to shine, and become part of the 'tulle' gang. then I munched a bit o' suppah n' here I am. so, that's that, and I might just hang out / relax tonight, because I had a long week, and I'm pretty tired. until next time.
Let's all cheer for,
Bad, bad mental pictures!

<joel> it's Spring, ya'll! the marvelous time when snow is melting, grass is appearing, birds are singing and when high school productions are bountiful. this having been said, allons-y pour faire le retour sur ma vie depuis mardi matin. tuesday was a pretty good day, for all I remember - I have short-term memory loss, so don't mind me. :-) euh, I believe that I'm a loser. (not loser a.k.a. low self-esteem no-friends bum,) I mean someone who loses things. in the past month and a half or so, I've not only managed to lose my geometry set, but my 'To Kill A Mockingbird' book as well. ahhhh, screw it. so that's what I realised on Tuesday, and then Tuesday night I had Leader Corps, as usual, which consisted of helping my group to decide on a dish to make for our April 8th Leader Corps Cooking Show, watching the Hip-Hop Class do their dancing production to the tune of 'You Rock My World' by Micheal Jack-Perv, and finally playing some good ol' raquetball with Selma & Katie. that was really fun! then yesterday wasn't the best of days - I did a Verb Test, which I don't think I did that terribly on, and I also received my lab report in Physique, which was 68%... not bad, considering that I thought I would bomb the thing and that I kind of suck in Physique. ah, well! then last night was Ju-Jutsu, which just feels better, (not to mention right) with my Rokyu Yonkyu. it's really reassuring. then this morning, at 6:30 I woke up from a horrible nightmare that scared the shnitzel out of me, and wasn't able to get back to sleep (hourra!) and as usual on Tuesdays/Thursdays, getting to school was A.O.K. hectic. -blarf!- annnd here I am, my future aspects are pretty ok, tonight is a big-ass theater practice - I have to go ask Cindy about these FLAMER pants that I have to wear for the play, holy crap I hate those pants... and on the weekend, Friday night I think I'm going to youth night, then Saturday night I believe I'm going to go see 'Annie Get Your Gun' from St. Mach's HS. so yeah, I'd go on a rant on how Saint John Francophones are under-appreciated right about now, buuut I'm too tired. so, until the next time,
Ban child pedophelia,
And pray for a peaceful resolution.

<joel> Hello all and welcome to the Tuesday edition of my life. Going back from Saturday, Saturday afternoon I ventured off into the shopping world of the 'McAllister District' with my Mom and Dad. first we went to Wal-Mart, and there is just a crapload of fun stuff there, sometimes I love being overwhelmed with commercialism! then we went off in search of a spring coat for me, we went to Sport Chek, Mark's Work Warehouse, both unsuccessfully. but then we came upon Cleves, a favorite for both of my parents, and I found a pretty nice coat there. It's an Airwalk. hm, then Saturday night I stayed home due to lack of social planning... but I made myself a nice little fruit platter with my own special recipe and it was really good!! then Sunday came along - I had theatre practice @ school from 11:00 - 1:30, which went fairly well, I kind of like the 'flashback screen' because of its capability to transmit human emotion. then I came home, grabbed a quick lunch and studied my lines for Interaction, and was off. Interaction was, again, going over lots of fun pirate stuff. soon we'll be working with the Lost Boys, whom we get to throw around and stuff. (whoo! child abuse!) That evening my mom & I went to the hospital to visit Mémère, who is successfully recovering from her hip surgery last Monday. it will take her a while to recover, but once summer comes around, she should be, (even if this sounds cliché,) as good as new. Sunday night my family and I watched a really good movie, White Oleander. It was about a girl by the name of Astrid (Alison Lohman) with a possessive mother, (Michelle Pfeiffer), who bounces from Foster Home to Foster Home in search of love, with mothers like a jealous Starr (Robin Wright) or Claire (Renee Zellweger) who play their roles fairly well... it was an enjoyable film overall. and yesterday was much ado about nothing... I got a bad verb test back, but nothing else apart from that was that terribly exciting. annnd today, Leader Corps is tonight... youpi... and I can't find my Geometry Set nor my 'To Kill A Mockingbird' book. ugh.
At least I'm young,
The boy next door.

<joel> omilord!!! If I were any more active I'd be on freaking Participaction... ok, well, I'll back-track from Thursday morning, but before that, I'd like to share a small, unimportant peice of information with ya'll. I GOT MY YELLOW-ORANGE BELT LAST NIGHT!!! I can't believe it, I'm so happy! I'll describe it later, as a suspense thing, but in the meantime, let's go alllll the way back to Thursday, shall we? well, Thursday morning was depressing for a reason or another... I felt rejected... and then the rest of the day went smoothly enough, my Authorware presentation in Techno is way too happy - it's great! and in french I got my verb test back - 22/25, or 88%! wow! then Thursday evening was theater practice - from 3:30 to 6:30, (oh my Lord.) em, it was fun, but we have the 'flashback screen' in now, and that's where I do all my acting, so during the play all you'll see is my shadow, but it is a very difficult role for me due to it's immense contrast with my own personality. hm! ah, well. then yesterday was a stressful day - I looked over my belt test stuff constantly, and drove everyone crazy. my day was fun though, the second period was the final for 'Drôle de Débats,' and the fourth period was 'Guerre des Clans,' (aka Family Feud.) that was fun! but during the game, (it was dudes vs. dudettes,) they asked for 3 creative guys and 3 creative girls, so I went up, as well as Jason G. and Marmen. it turns out that we had to make a song, so we just rhymed french adjectives with foods. (ex: Le français, c'est flyé, Just comme la crème glacée.) we won for that, but the girls won in the end... grrr.... oh, well. then was theater until 5, which was amusing yet again, we laughed a lot, it was fun fun fun. after that, I mosied over to the Y @ 5:30 or so, to go over some last-minute stuff. there was three of us going for our belts, two youngin's going for their orange belt, and me. then came the big 6:00, and the doors were shut. we did some light exersize, such as 450 CRUNCHES, 450 ANKLE RAISES, 450 JUMPING JACKS AND 450 SQUATS!!!! ...and about 20 minutes of just running around the N.B. Room. then @ 7:00 or so the rest of the class came in and we joined them for a little while. then Senseis took us on a one-on-one for us to do all of our techniques, which I didn't do THAT well on, but well enough to be impressive and to ultimately pass. at the end of the night, we all went into mocso, (resting position, aka sitting on your feet, while kneeling.) they went outside of the classroom to deliberate, and came back in. then they opened their box, and out came three belts - two orange belts - and mine, the yellow orange belt. then I knew that I had got it. I was the last to be called up after the other two, and Shien looked right at me and said this: "You deserve this, and now all of the higher ranks respect you." obviously he was referring to the belt test that I failed in February. but it's true... I came, I failed, tried again and conuquered. it was a great feeling. after that I don't remember that, it was just a happy, tired daze of 'congratulations,' 'I knew you could do it,' and 'good job.' it was wonderful. then when I got home I almost barfed, but I wasn't that bad - it's just that belt tests are very, very difficult. they strip you of strength... but it's worth it. then this morning I went for a run, and since it's now Spring, it was absolutely lovely. I don't really care what I do today, because I'm happy right now, as I am.
The Yellow Orange Belt,
In the sunny Spring weather.
