<joel> if you said to me that you really didn't fucking care, I'd agree and I'd believe you. </joel> <!--22:08-->

<joel>  well, war has been declared over Iraq by the Americans, more-or-less. the attacks started last night, and I highly doubt they'll stop until Suddam Hussein is captured. well, hold that thought while I back-track from Tuesday. em, Tuesday afternoon was pretty normal, as was the rest of the day, in Leader Corps we made these Chocolate Chip Marshmelloiw Squares... holy crap, the single most chocolatey thing I've ever tasted.. good Lohd! euh, yesterday I got two marks back... Techno, 83% ( :D ) and Physique. 62.5%. my education is slowly GOING DOWN THE DRAIN because of this, and it concerns me a lot. oh, and there was also a presentation by the nationally renowned Fred Pellerin, he was pretty good, I suppose. I don't really appreciate Acadian / Québecois humour all that much, but it is enjoyable and nice. I'm going to go see someone about this today... I can't take this much longer at all. last night, Ju-Jutsu ran from 6:30 until 9:00!! screw that! I have homework to do!!! after my Belt Test on Friday I'm laying low with all this Ju-Jutsu schnazz, I have two productions on the go, damnit! ouf... so ya, tonight I have theater practice all the way until 6:30... well, we're kind of performing on APRIL 12 so I don't blame her!! holy geez... and of course, my belt test is tommorrow night. so that's that. now, back to my war schpeil. like I was saying, the attacks against Iraq began last night, in an effort to do the ol' C&C to Hussein. (C&C: Capture & Convict). I must admit that Suddam is an asshole, and should be stopped. I, as naïve as it sounds, just wish that there was an easier and less... demanding and tragic option than war. but, we live in a world of intensity at times, what can ya do? now, I realised from my last post that many of my teenage peers feel strongly about this subject. I do believe that this is a very important thing, even if as Canadian NBers we're at low risk, I think it is of great importance that this situation is examined and re-examined by everyone, yet lack of cooperation and understanding with both parties is present. who has more force? the US. so, the least we can do is be concerned, for more can be done later. so, that's it for now, big Ray-Ray is gon' come kill us all if we don't get out of here, so I'll tty'all later, and if I don't get the chance to talk to you from now 'til Friday night, wish me luck!!!!

Pray for those in need,
Pray that they don't bleed.

<joel>  ...36 hours. that's all the time we may have left in a peaceful world. I hadn't realised the gravity of the situation until now. America is going to war is 36 hours if Saddam Hussein and his sons don't leave Iraq. US's national security level is up to high. as a Canadian, I feel vunerable due to our geographical position and strong ties with the USA, but at the same time, Canada isn't in as much of the line of fire as are our Southern neighbours. I do see both sides, though, and I take none. whatever, or whoever that takes the option of war, in my opinion, is going too far. you'd have thought that they - we'd have learned that 'War does not determine who is right; War determines who is left.' I do commend George Bush's attempt to be peaceful and to work with the UN, but Suddam has gotta go, or else we're screwed. I wouldn't be saying this if President Bush hadn't made it clear that he was against the imminent threat of Suddam and his 'pals' and not the Iraqi public, though they're screwed anyways. so that's my rant on that... back-tracking from Saturday morning - Saturday afternoon I went to the Atlantic National Home Show, it was amazing! I mean, I was doing Coat Check a lot of the time, which was still cool, but I got to try all of the Sobeys yummy food samples on the middle level, and then I went downstairs, and there were windows, doors, jacuzzis, baths, massaging shower heads, massaging matresses, faucets, cheese!, flooring, computers, electronics, oh, I was in heaaaven! it was absolutely amazing, I can't wait for next year! so then Saturday afternoon I went to church, then Saturday night Alicia & I went for this really big walk, it was refreshing! we went with Sammy, first to Jim Bob's, then to the Barnhill playground, the huge field with really good echos, the skating rink, and then lol!!! we walked accross the seemingly wholesome Greendale ballfield, when suddenly we both picked up the scent of... weed? yeah! and just as we smelled it, this guy pops out, stoned out of his mind, and it scared THE crap out of me. so I just kind of mosied away while Alicia stayed and started a spirited conversation with the guy - lol. uhhh... oh yeah, then we stopped at Jed's, I stayed in the driveway with Psycho Sammy. so then Sunday came along, and I thought that Sunday was a day of rest, but I guess not! I had school drama from 11:00-1:30 with Gaétane, and from 3-5 it was Interaction with Kate. let me tell ya, it was hectic. to make matters worse, I had still not started mon Rapport de Laboratoire pour la classe de Physique... and I payed dearly for not starting it - I worked from 7:00 'til 10:30 or so. killlll me!!! oh, it was awful. then yesterday was a so-so day, nothing too extravagant... except for the opening ceremony of 'La semaine de la fierté française', which was fun to participate in. and last night I watched Bush's Address to the Nation of course, and as well as a good episode of Boston Public. then today, I have Leader Corps tonight, and there's sure to be a ton of conversation of the potential war coming... that's all from me!

36 hours now,
No more, no less.
