<joel> yaw - bad day. I was a loner this afternoon, but sometimes it's better to do that then to be really social, I guess. it's a better way to get to know yourself. wait - was that just me, or does that sound icky? meh. so back-tracking from yesterday, Alicia called me, said she wanted to hang out after all, so I walked past Mariel's, and we were off. we walked straight to Lawton's, where Alicia got her big-ass sinus infection pills, which are as big as a small country, and then we made a convenient little stop @ Tim's. then, while walking from there to Irving, I realised how retarded I really was when I believed that there was more then one Irving on Main Street West... tay hay hay... lol, so then we rented -what else- The Ring on DVD. for only 4$! ah, the good ol' neighbourhood Irving that's not really in my neighbourhood. then we ran alllll (well I did) the way from there until the end of Dever Road - ouch. but, being the fabulous runner I am (ah ha ha... not) we made it at last. seeing as to how my schedule was tight, because I had to be back in time for Ben's b-day festivities, we had to flip through a couple o' scenes, but it scared THE crap out of Amanda non-the-less. what a satisfying sight that was! then I came home, to be greeted by joyously youthful festivities, what with the smiley potatoes, the pop, and the pizza (with NO MEAT! (Ash Wednesday)). then came the lovely cake, and Ben's presents, and an overall very joyous day for my little brother. this little party was preceded by the brutal killing of the horsie piñata... with great fun! lol, then came the big ol' Flames Game @ Harbour Station. that was fun, thanks to my Uncle Yvon (who's the assistant coach) who has all these ticket connections, Mariel & I got kick-ass tickets - but then we moved over to Alicia & Amanda. right by the boards!!! anywho, let me tell ya, it was a grand ol' evening... though I pigged out... ugh. so then I came home, and stayed up late watching 'City Confidential' on A&E, which is a decent show. at the same time, I was persuing my mechanic expertise with the adjusting of my little brother's newest gift - a re-fixable truck. I failed horribly. oh well! anyways, this morning I went for another run, and I vegged the rest of the afternoon - apart for the half-hour walk I took this afternoon. so anyways, I have to go help prepare the salad for supper - Rasperry Vinaigrette! dayam!!! allright, take care, ya'll!
Mind, Body, Soul...,
Ünd all dat schnazz.

<joel> It's Ben's Big Day!!! That's right, Ben's off to the nursery home. lol! j/k, (if you're stupid enough to have believed that), Ben's 5 years old today. hourrah!!! (side note: As I write this, at about 11:23 in the morning, 5 years ago, (in two minutes), Ben was just being born.) I just finished putting up all of Ben's beautiful decorations in the kitchen for him, it's so pertiful!!! -sniff- anyways, going from yesterday afternoon, I basically did nothing apart from going out to do a few groceries - then last night I went to Ju-Jutsu, and learned some disturbing techniques - I also have to work on my damn stances... stupid 'foundation'... *grumble dee bumble* anyways, then I slept NOT-so-restfully, ughhh... stupid reality-based and dillusional dreams... lol, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about!! anyways, future plans, I'm planning to go hang out at Alicia's this afternoon - guess not... and I'm not going to go into last night. well, anyways, I'm going to ye olde Flames Game ce soir, that should be fun!! Happy Birthday, Ben! 5 on the 5th!
When in doubt,
Follow the yellow brick road.

<joel> ah ha ha - do I ever feel refreshed! -collapses- lol just kidding, for once I do feel mildly refreshed. I got out for a run this morning, amidst the evil sidewalk ice from hell... God, it's hard enough to run in the winter, hold the fact that there's mounds of ice on the fa-reakin' sidewalk! to prove this point, as I was running back up Manawagonish, I was just about to turn the corner to make it up to my final stretch 'till home - until I see this big mound of ice - so I jump over it (like a sped) successfully, and just as I was turning, I didn't see the black ice - and I went down - (like a sped.) that exhausted me even more, so there I was trying to acheieve my usual sub 30-minute time, running as fast as I humanly could, and panting like one of the Golden Girls having sex. of course, all the neighbours stare at me as if I'd just shot their mothers, and it feels kind of fun, yet also quite insecure at the same time. anywho, yesterday, yesterday was a nothing day, really. Thomas was at his friend's house for the day and for the night, and I stayed home and lazed (is that even a verb?...) the whole day, apart from some 'pleasant' Ju-Jutsu training. I have to go for some Ju-Jutsu schnazz tonight... shouldn't be too bad, it's good training, even if my make-up belt test is on the 28th of this month. that very belt test is now on my 'trips to acheieve list', it's the Belt Test, then a probable trip to Mathieu-Martin (in Dieppe), and finally Caraquet at the end of April. I also have my two productions - both of which I adore. anywho, that's all I got for now, enjoy!
Pattycake, Pattycake,
THE BAKER IS BAKED!

<joel> yo. it's Monday mornin' here @ the Vautour household, and outside it is sunny, with the same amount of snow (more-or-less) on the ground, despite last night's little rain/wind storm. backtracking from yesterday afternoon, Interaction was fun - I'm glad that we're concentrating more on the script then on improv, though improv is fun. it's just that the production is about 3 and a half months away, and it's an ultra-major production at that. plus, I do have more lines then I thought. it's REALLY exciting though, this whole production is one of the most thrilling in which I've ever taken part in!! there's such a huge spectrum of age groups, and it's an overall very fun production. and so then I came home and vegged... go me... my mom came home with 'Road to Perdition,' and that was pretty good. it had Tom Hanks, and this other very talented young lad - I'm very fond of child actors, I idolize then sheerly for their ability to communicate emotions at such an un-experienced age. ah, well! then this morning, well, nothing really happened, pretty boring day, I have a dentist appointment at some point today... I fucking loathe the God-damn dentist... though my teeth are perfect... big whoop. oh, and happy b-day to Steph! Sweet sixteen..
That's it,
That's all.

<joel> Hey all, just Joel here, relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. well, let's back-track from yesterday morning, shall we? on that fine first day of March, Alicia, Mariel & I all ventured out on social plans (and otherwise.) first stop? a church in Kennebecasis Valley (did I spell that right???) for Mariel's counseller application for Camp Medley for Summer 2003. apparantly, she failed horribly. however, that is not the worst thing. the worst thing is that as soon as we were parked, Alicia & Mariel said something, then ran into the church. I think they said something about 'being back soon,' so I waited. and waited. annnd waited. 20 minutes later, I was still there, being forced to bond with Mariel's mom. oh, God. thinking it couldn't get any worse, I went inside. there I spent another 20 minutes, reading senior Christian phamplets!!! Oh, God. I mean, really, there's only so much a guy can take. so finally, Alicia & Mariel come out of the interview room looking quite cheery, until I gave them a look that could've killed a horse. then we were back on the road, headed for Empire Theaters. there we went to see 'The Life of David Gale,' something I was not quite certain of. it turned out to be really good! it was all about David Gale (Kevin Spacey), a man on death row, being interviewed by Bitsey Bloom (Kate Winslet), and he tells his story about his life, and ultimately how he is on Death Row for no reason - because he did not kill his girlfriend Constance Harraway (Laura Linney). anyways, it develops into a very good story - so yes, it is worth seeing. really. anywho, I g2g to Interaction soon, until later!
One's success is not measured in money,
It is measured in self-satisfaction.

<joel> Life may not give you what you want,
And it may not be what you think.
But life can suddenly change,
With less then a blink.
If you count your blessings,
And you count the stars in the sky,
Then you will always, always
Wonder why.
If you notice the green grass,
Or the golden, shining sun,
Then you will feel special,
You will feel as one.
Make time for you,
That person you don't yet know.
What are your goals?
Where will you go?
Breathe, breathe silently,
And see the sky blue.
And if you see it,
Then the sky sees you.

<joel> hey!!! long time no post!! well, kind of. lol - well, back-tracking from yesterday, hmm... well, yesterday morning in Techno we taught the lil' un's from Grade 5 how to use Power Point, all while making really funny presentations. it was quite the enjoyable experience, really. then after tech, Danielle and I were talking when suddenly Mirage pops up and asks to talk to me. I found this pretty weird, since we haven't been the best of friends lately -ahem- so anyways, she told me how she believed in forgiveness and such - so we're friends again, minus the trust. my intentions weren't bad, though... it's a long story. moving on, French period was fun, and then English - it was a discussion period! the subject? Iraq, and associated terrorist/war threat stuff. it's really great!! I think Fridays are discussion periods now... hope so! so then after school, I came home, relaxed, and then I was off again at around 7:30 to go shopping followed by a movie. Mom & I went to Sears first, saw (and smelled) lots of perty scents, then looked for some schnazz there. then we went to Thrifty's - I never did realise how cool that place is - so then I bought m'self a pair o' jeans, they're hip. although the cashier there - well, I won't say anything, or JF will kill me. haha lol ok. so then I mosied on over to the theaters, and met up with ma palz Christie n' JF, and bought maself a ticket for Chicago. (it was on friend reccomendation that I went, mind you.) so Chicago was surprisingly awesome!!! it was, bright, and full of loud 30's songs. it had a good story, (how fame can change people) and other things inter-twined with it all... and with music! good music! so, it's a good movie - worth seeing. anywho, then this morning I went for a rough run, what with the lovely -cough- sidewalks - but I made it - sub-30, too. :-D and so here I am, vegging at 11:09AM on this March 1st. my future social aspects? lookin' good! I'm going to Mariel's job interview for Camp Medley, (with Alicia, too) and then we're going to see the thriller 'The Life of David Gale.' so I think that's it.. oh, wait! Mariel & I are out of a job for the March Break!! the registration for the theater camps we were too poor, I guess - so, no new cash. :( I'll live! (I don't know about Mariel though, lol.)
Breathe by the bay,
The Maritimer.
